With the addition of Hazardous Waste Management, Oxigen Environmental has expanded its already well established range of services. With the Transfer Station in operation the company are now able to fully address the ever growing demand for Total Waste Management.
Oxigen is committed to providing cost effective alternatives and environmentally friendly technologies. Hazardous waste is explored as a source of raw material or energy before other disposal options are considered.
EPA Waste License No.:
W0208 – 01, licensed for 30.000 tonnes/year.
Hazardous Class we receive:
Class 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 and 9 including their sub classes. (Excluded are Class 1 and Class 7)
Oxigen hazardous waste services provide:
- C1 Form for collection of waste
- Tracking and tracing of each package / container
- Sampling and analysing the waste in our own laboratory
- Weighing, packing, re-packing, bulking and storage
- Various processing, conditioning and treatment options
- (TFS) Notification Form and documentation conform to EU Regulation
- Hazardous labels and placards
- Emergency instructions (instructions in writing must be supplied by the transport company)
- Logistics to final disposal / recycling / recovery facility
- Certificate of final disposal to complete your order

- Commercial Industries
The hazardous waste will be disposed of in a variety of national licensed disposal facilities located in the UK (GB), the Netherlands (NL), Belgium (BE), Germany (DE), all of whom have accepted Oxigen Environmental as their reliable partner.
- Oxigen will take ownership of the waste, after acceptance of the waste at our reception area.
- Oxigen can offer disposal facilities for every waste stream listed, providing analysis and MSDS accompanies the waste, and with the understanding that the listed waste is not excluded for transport.
Hazardous wastes & packaging accepted at Oxigen:
Bulk in tank containers, (aqueous, chlorinated, non-chlorinated and mixed solvents),
(contaminated aqueous and other contaminated solvents),
Drums 30, 60, 120, 200 litres, IBC’s 800/1000 litres, UN approved for (liquids),
Drums 60, 120, 200 litres, FIBC’s, ASP’s 800 litres, UN approved for (solids),
Fibre drums 30, 60, 120 litres, UN approved for (solids) with liner may include residual liquid,
Non-regulated packaging received or non-UN approved containers received at the Transfer Station will be re-packed in UN approved packaging for onward transport.

Customers are always welcome to contact Oxigen Customer Service, where you will get expert advice and guidance regarding any query you may have.
Hazardous waste may also be dangerous goods and have to comply with the current ADR / IMDG / RID Regulations.
Improve the price, quality and service that Oxigen is able to offer by ensuring that waste is optimally packaged. Always supply the best information possible about your hazardous waste. For example
- Sort the waste in the best possible way (prevent cross contamination or incompatibility)
- Optimise packing the waste (homogeneous, density) and in approved UN packaging
- Packaging must be appropriate (fibre, metal, plastic) for the type of waste inside
- Packaging must be dry and free of damage & corrosion and closed properly
- Packaging outside must be free of any waste remnants and old labels must be removed or deleted
- Document the content of the waste (waste name, containing x% primary hazard, x% secondary hazard, x% rest), the UN number and Class, the EWC code from the list of wastes, number of packaging’s and various types of waste, weight of each package)
- Knowing the process producing the waste will help to determine the EWC code and the price
