Oxigen has created strong relationships with many local authorities around Ireland. Oxigen provide services on behalf of local authorities such as street cleaning and civic amenity sites.
Oxigen operate a number of civic amenity sites in Ireland. These facilities are designed to allow the general public to bring their general waste and recyclables to a centrally located site.
Civic amenity sites promote recycling and help to increase the amount of waste recycled in Ireland each year. These sites play a vital role as they provide a place for people to bring materials that are not usually catered for in weekly domestic collections, for example bulky items like old furniture or large pieces of garden waste, white goods (WEEE fridges, freezers and other electrical appliances), as well as hazardous materials like oils or light bulbs.
Oxigen civic amenity sites accept the following materials: cardboard, CDs, drink/food cans, electronic goods, garden waste, household gas cylinders, glass, car & household batteries, mixed paper & magazines, mobile phones, plastic bottles, reusable clothing, scrap metal, timber, waste oils & cooking oils, white goods (washing machines, fridges etc).
