Most Eco-friendly Supplier Sponsered by Oxigen Environmental

Glenisk were the proud winners of the Most Eco-Friendly Award at the 2012 Checkout National FMCG Awards which took place in The Four Seasons Hotel, Dublin, on the 5th of November.

The awards are now in their third year and this category was sponsored for the first time by Oxigen Environmental, the Irish owned and family run waste management company.

Glenisk were very worthy winners and fought off stiff opposition from such global brands as Kenco, Nestle and Unilever.

Yoghurt manufacturer Glenisk has had an environmentally-friendly approach for many years, installing turbines and solar panels, planting reed beds and developing recyclable packaging. Coupled with this, the company has also invested in a fleet of electric vehicles.

Commenting on the award; Martin Harrell - Director of HR & Communications for Oxigen Environmental stated, “We are delighted to be associated with these prestigious awards and given our background, sponsorship of Most Eco-Friendly Supplier was a perfect fit.
