Oxigen Power...

...was established to develop and manage renewable energy generation projects for the Oxigen Group.

The majority of energy generated in Ireland and the rest of the world is derived from fossil fuels. Fossil fuels are a valuable and finite energy source. The combustion of fossil fuels results in the emission of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases which adversely impact the environment. Oxigen is committed to exploring alternatives to fossil fuels.

A tangible alternative is to replace a portion of the fossil fuels used in energy generation by harnessing the energy value in waste materials that cannot be recycled.

Non-recyclable elements of all waste streams can be processed to produce a high calorific fuel such as SRF – Solid Recovered Fuel. Oxigen SRF can be used to replace coal, peat or oil in Ireland’s power stations, thus reducing CO2 emissions and lowering Ireland’s dependence on imported fossil fuels.
